In late summer, Demaras Racing hosted the GEARHEADS GIVING BACK, TOO charity fundraiser for SickKids Hospital. It was a straightforward raffle with 100% of the proceeds going to charity, thanks to the donation of the grand prize by GTA Exotics. We did some good; raised money and raised awareness of the need to continue to fund our world class hospitals.

The winning gearhead of our raffle was Hussein, who goes by Huzzy. In October, he received the grand prize, which was a thrill-of-a-lifetime drive in a Ferrari race car at the Mosport DDT next to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
It’s interesting to see the entire experience from his perspective; here’s his video about the event.
What started as a chill track day turned into a full-blown dream come true. From hot laps in my M4 to somehow ending up behind the wheel of a Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo, this day had it all. Come along for the ride as I push both cars to their limits, talk setup and handling, and experience what it’s like to pilot a full-blown race car built for the track.

Nice! We do this 4 times a year <3
That’s cool! 4 times a year is a solid number of track days. You close to a racetrack?
Yes 40 min from Loudon NH NH International Speedway where Nascar races, then we have Lee Speedway 10 miles away and a 1/4 mile dragstrip 4 miles from us and a small track with big fun 3 miles away 🙂
I am very jealous! We have Mosport (road course) an hour east, Cayuga an hour and a half west (drag strip and road course) and then Sunset Speedway (short oval) an hour north. So, every trip to the track is a bit of a drive.
I moved here for the racing so this was planned almost 40 years ago 🙂 I like driving so traveling is good for me 🙂
