It’s already been two years since “Fast X” and the next movie isn’t slated for theatrical release until May 2028, but Universal Studios isn’t letting their most valuable film franchise gather dust on the shelf. After years of rumours, Universal Studios theme park in California is preparing to launch a Fast & Furious themed roller coaster this summer.




The roller coaster trains will me made up individual cars based on iconic rides from the movies, including Dom’s Charger, Brian’s Skyline and Han’s VeilSide RX-7. The track is 1.25 km long and will reach a top speed of 115 km/h. While racing up and down the track, the cars will spin 360 giving riders a thrill unlike any other roller coaster.
Vin Diesel even narrated the TV commercial hyping the upcoming ride, for broadcast during the Super Bowl, Winter Olympics, and the NBA All-Star Game. The commercial revealed that Universal Studios Hollywood will launch the ride this summer, while construction of a similar ride at Universal Studios Florida will be in gear by summer 2027.
