By the end of October, most Ontario car clubs have packed it in for the season. But a group of old-timers in the car community have one more event on the calendar, and it’s not your typical parking-lot car show.
The Highway 11 Cruisers Car Club is hosting its annual Halloween Trunk or Treat Car Show on Friday, October 30th, 2026, starting at 6:00 PM. They’re holding the event at Harvey’s—Home of the Hot Ones— on Yonge Street in Newmarket. It’s the club’s final show of the season, and they’re promising tons of candy, prizes, awards and Halloween fun for the whole family. Instead of knocking on doors, kids go from car to car collecting candy from decorated trunks.
Yes, we’re encouraging children to accept candy from strangers in parking lots. Apparently Halloween makes that perfectly normal!
Just check out these photos from last year! Some of these dudes really get into the Halloween spirit! Skeletons behind the wheel, giant spiders crawling over Corvettes, and classic cars with monster teeth. Costumes are encouraged but not required, and the event also supports the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH).
It’s a great opportunity to enjoy some cool cars, support a good cause and squeeze in one last cruise night before winter.

Come for the cars, stay for the candy. Just don’t accept a ride from the skeleton driving the Corvette!
