A Colorado-based racer named Dustin Wayman posted some pics on the Formula Vee: Canadian F1200 and Challenge Cup Series FB page. It was in response to request for photos of enclosed Formula Vee / Formula 1200 cars, or ones with a modern IndyCar-type aeroscreen protecting the cockpit.

He had a few images to share, and wanted to make them public. All photos were taken by his father Doyle Wayman over several years at the SCCA Runoffs.

Wondering is we’ll see any of these unique race cars at this weekend’s BEMC Indian Summer race at CTMP. Rumour has it that several Challenge Cup Series driver’s from the northeastern US may be racing.
They do look like “belly tank” racers, from the 1950s.
