The Rally of Tall Pines is Crazy Leo’s home race. But this weekend will be a whole different story from all of previous rallies. This will be a low-key race with minimal budget and without a professional service crew at the event. Leo will contest the Rally of the Tall Pines in a front-wheel-drive Ford Focus Focus ZX3 with his friend Sam Roxon co-driving.

Leo is documenting the event with a couple of YouTube videos, and has already released Episode 1 a couple days ago. In the spirit of sharing, he’ll show fans the preparation required, and disclose the budget so prospective rally-racers get a clear idea of what such an event costs.

The 2022 version the Lincoln Electric Rally of the Tall Pines, Bancroft worked so well, they decided to do it again! 2023 will see the rally use the same route, which combined all of Tall Pine’s best stages in a compact, one-day schedule. Spectators at Iron Bridge will again be treated to three passes of the rally cars. This year, there will be just one regional portion of the rally, counting towards the Ontario Performance Rally Championship and Eastern Canadian Rally Championship series. The regional has 113 km of stage while the full national event has 180 km.
