See the tattoo of Guido (from Pixar’s ‘Cars‘ movie) on the Ferrari F1 mechanic’s arm? You just know these Italians take their job very seriously. And this weekend at the Formula 1 race in Miami, the Ferrari pit crew executed a 1.9 second pit stop to change all 4 tires during the race. That is an exceptionally quick time.

The race was won by McLaren driver Lando Norris, who finally took victory after 110 races. His big brother Carlos Sainz was waiting for him after the race with a big hug; the CARLANDO love is strong.
wait WHAT. 1.9 seconds. how is that possible? even with four sets of people, one per tire, how can they do it so fast?
It doesn’t seem possible, right? Even with 22 highly-trained individuals.
.
But I saw it. Car was hardly even stopped and the lug nuts were loosened. Driver hit the gas before the car hit the ground.
.
Amazing.

Absolutely insane! The used hammers to tighten the one big lug nut on those 1950s wheels (I think they called them knock-offs).
There is a perfect Cars clip for everything.
