When presented with an opportunity to do some good most people will help out. Contributions to a food drive or donations to a charity fundraiser rely on the kindness in people’s hearts. But bribing folks with thrill rides in race cars is also a solid method to encourage generosity.

Back in December, Demaras Racing partnered with famed rally driver ‘Crazy Leo’ and his Race Lab team to host the Rally Against Hunger food drive. It was a charity race with the pole position going to the most generous contributor. The 2-Time Canadian Rally Champion generously provided the Grand Prize of a Rally Car Adventure.

This Saturday June 8th 2024 the winners and podium finishers in the charity race will claim their prizes at Race Lab’s Mixed Surface Track & Skid Pad event at Millhaven Quarry.

After a 2-hour classroom session covering the basics of hand-over-hand steering, the ‘racing line’ and the ‘grip line’ three lucky drivers will hop into a Subaru Impreza GD/GG, rally-prepped by legendary tuning shop Can-Jam Motorsports.

The rallycross course they’ll drive is an awesome 2.4 km gravel and tarmac stage with a bit of everything; tight corners around trees, high-speed open areas to feel the speed. Where else in Canada can you show up and drive a car that’s prepared for the loose surface abuse? Or even a full rallycross car? Or a rally car?!

Join us on Saturday at Race Lab – Canada’s best advanced driving school! Space is still available for this weekend, but you’ll have to act fast. Call them at (416) 477-2130 or send an email to hi@racelab.co
