Last week, we posted what we thought was a funny karting clip on www.demaras.com but upon sober second thought, it was kind of negative. And we here at Demaras Racing are nothing if not rays of sunshine brimming with positivity. So we’re going to do another kart racing article, this time 100% positive.
One of our favourite racers is Will Power driver of the No. 12 Team Penske IndyCar. This past weekend he went back to his roots and competed in a go-kart race!

Indy 500 Winner and 2-Time IndyCar Series Champion Will Power makes up half of an all-pro entry at the Mark Harrison Memorial 200 kart race as Power teams up with Kyffin Simpson, driver of the No. 4 IndyCar for Chip Ganassi Racing. The dynamic duo combined their names and numbers and entered the race as the No. 412 SimPower team competing on a CS55 Carlos Sains kart.
You can look for the race on YouTube but here’s a little glimpse of the event, below.
It’s cool to see that professional IndyCar racers put their egos aside to compete in a go-kart race simply for the thrill of competition.
