Seems every night for is another ‘season ending‘ car meet. And as long as Indian summer lasts, we’re happy to head out to every pop-up show.one of these. Last night was Halloween inspired ‘Cars & Coffins‘ hosted by Built647Club, L9T_Meets, GTA_BUILT and DRIFTCVLTURE.

The spot was an old, abandoned big box store out in Mississauga. Kind of a no-man’s land in between Hwy 401 and Hwy 407 with no apartments or houses around to be bothered by gearheads having a little fun.

The old lighting at the shuttered store cast an eerie green glow on all the cars, giving the event a spooky vibe. The bright purple and blue LED underglow really stood out against the dark background.

The cars really were the stars of the show with several generations of Nissan GTRs staking their claim as kinds of the parking lot. 4th gen Supras rubbed shoulders with late-models that just rolled out the factory.

There were some totally unique cars like a ’94 Chevy Beretta with door-rattling subwoofers, and an ’89 BMW 750 slammed on air-ride hiding a massive intercooler under its front bumper.

Youth culture is so full of life, and some even dressed up in costume for the nights’ events. A couple people even added Halloween décor to their rides, while others carved images of their cars into pumpkins.

A lot od cars that were regulars at CSCS events in the Show & Shine contests and Stereo Soundclash competitions were also at the Mississauga meet-up… one more time before the cold weather hits.

The vibe at the event was chill, except for some Americans bragging out the G37 in their garage at home. But there was no police involvement, no hooning and until the very end (when cars were leaving) no two-step pops or gunshot sounds.

No matter how many meet-ups call themselves the season-finale, surely there will be a few more events before winter. These pop-up meets sometimes have little notice (to avoid too much police attention) so keep the car fueled up and ready.
