The movie ‘F1‘ finally has a release date; June 25th internationally and June 27th in Canada and the US. The motion picture will be shown in IMAX before eventually tricking down to Apple TV+ streaming service.
An action-heavy teaser was released last summer, focused on the racing. But now, Warner Bros Pictures has put out a theatrical trailer for ‘F1‘ focused much more on the story of fictional Sonny Hayes and ‘Noah’ Pearce as they strive for racing glory.
This movie was announced in 2021, and has been shooting since 2023 including filming during the 2023 British Grand Prix at Silverstone. Filming also took place at the Hungaroring, Monza, Spa-Francorchamps, the updated Zandvoort track, classic Suzuka and Yas Marina Circuit.
In 2024, race fans cheered as Brad Pitt won the Mexican Grand Prix at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, and collectively held their breath a month later as the fictional racer crashed at the Las Vegas Strip Circuit.

Racing fans have been following along with the real-life production at F1 races for years now. One only wonders how the story will actually end. The plot of ‘F1‘ is exactly the same at the 2001 IndyCar movie ‘Driven‘ with big-time movie star Sylvester Stallone. Hopefully the finished film is better this time around!
