Up at Goodwood Kartways, there’s a track marshal named Kyle. He’s been working there for more than a decade, and is the most committed guy you’ve ever met. This video below is the fallout from a kart crash.
Not only was the driver thrown off, but the gas pedal got stuck. That’s when heroic Kyle jumped into action.

Probably ten years ago, I was at Goodwood Kartways. A little kid in his first race came into the pits with cold brakes. Pushed the pedal… nothing. Kid was driving straight at a fence post when Kyle jumped n the kart, steered away from danger, then used his own brake ‘shoes’ to stop the thing. Then he went back to working on the go-karts like it was nothing.
