Last week, we posted a commercial from pasta company Barilla calling themselves the ‘Official Pasta Partner’ and mocked the tagline.
Now we’ve stumbled upon another commercial, this one in Italian, focusing on Barilla’s new slogan “Tastes Like Family” which is still kind of funny when translated into English. But still, it’s an attempt to highlight the role of food in promoting togetherness.
Some old Italian dud jabbers on in the commercial, but as viewers we soon realize he’s the guy in those Formula 1 pictures, cooking up pasta for the mechanics and drivers at those vintage races.
That’s actually really cool.
