Katherine Legge is back where she belongs; on motorsport’s biggest stages. And fans have every reason to be excited. The British racing star returns to the Indianapolis 500 for its 110th running, suiting up with AJ Foyt Racing. She’ll drive the No. 11 e.l.f. Cosmetics Chevrolet Dallara in a stacked 33-car field for “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing”.

This marks her fifth Indy 500 start, and her return carries both experience and momentum. From becoming the ninth woman ever to qualify for Indianapolis in 2012, to setting the record as the fastest female qualifier in 2023 with a blistering 231.07 mph average, Legge has consistently pushed boundaries. While her 2024 run was cut short by mechanical trouble, her determination to come back stronger is exactly what makes her such a fan favourite.

What makes 2026 even more special is Legge’s incredible versatility. During the month of May she’s also competing in the NASCAR Cup Series—a rare and demanding double duty that showcases her adaptability across disciplines. Driving the No. 78 Chevrolet for Live Fast Motorsports at Watkins Glen International, she continues to break ground. In 2025, she became the first woman in years to qualify for a Cup race, earning two Top-20 finishes, including a standout 17th-place result at Indianapolis.

Legge’s journey isn’t just about results—it’s about representation, resilience, and passion. As one of the few women to compete at the highest levels of both IndyCar, NASCAR, and IMSA Sports Cars, she’s inspiring a new generation while proving she can still run with the best.

Whether it’s the roar of Indy or the intensity of NASCAR, one thing is clear: Katherine Legge isn’t just participating—she’s making history, and fans will be cheering her every lap of the way.
