Some cars look better under bright show lights. Others look their best when the sun goes down, and the underglow fires up. For those nighttime show cars, there’s the Street Lytes show coming up on Saturday, September 26th.

Event organizer Street Candy is hosting one last show at 7551 Jane Street in Vaughan. Running from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, the event focuses on customized cars that are designed to come alive after dark, with audio/visual and lighting modifications taking centre stage.

Previous events have followed the same after-hours formula, giving owners a place to show off the side of their rides whose details disappear at daytime car shows. Street Lytes is an outdoor night show dedicated to illuminated vehicles, and the organizer has also used its automotive events to raise money for the Alzheimer Society of Canada.

This final edition promises more than 50 awards, along with a 2-Step Champion competition and the King of Noise sound battle. As expected there’ll be vendors, including Kingsmen Kustoms—the Mississauga shop that specializes in custom paint, hydrographics, wraps and other visual automotive work.

And Demaras Racing will be there! The Synthwave SVX has been accepted to appear in the show, with its teal paint, pink accents and purple underglow. Completely on-brand for the final Street Lytes show.

See you there… after dark.
