On Friday April 29 2022, DriveTeq hosted its first event of the year at CTMP’s big track. Although their ‘Rid the Rust‘ event was held 5 days earlier at the Driver Development Track, for many DriveTeq regulars, ‘Back in the Big House’ was the first opportunity to get their cars out on the Grand Prix circuit this year.

What an incredible cross-section of automotive awesomeness showed up! Of course, Ferraris always draw plenty of attention at the race track..

Corvettes, Mustangs and Camaros made up the US contingent, and there were huge number of track ready Porsche 911s, Caymans and Boxters. Other German cars included various BMWs and an Audi R8, but the star of the show had to be the V10 powered Dodge Viper with full aerodynamic kit.

The only Japanese vehicle, and certainly the lowest-powered car on track, was the MX-5 Miata. While it may seem the Mazda was out of it’s depth, both Daniel Demaras and Chris Demaras managed to make on track passes thanks to the incredible handling of the Miata.
Lose them on the straights, catch them in the corners.
