How are you supposed to locate obscure parts for your retro Japanese daily-driver? For example, the BBS wheels on Daniel’s WRX were a rare, dealer-installed option in ’02 & ’03, so good luck trying to find a replacement! That’s why it’s important to have a shop like Can Jam Motorsports in your phonebook. Because sometimes you eat the curb. Sometimes the curb eats you.
A trip to Carcone’s Auto Recycling & Wheel Refinishing was a worthless endeavor; they couldn’t supply a replacement, or repair the wheel. The next stop was Can Jam. It should have been the only stop.
A couple hundred bucks later, the wheel is as good as new, plus a fresh Yokohama AVID Ascend tire has been mounted and balanced. Problem solved. It’s as if it never happened.
