This past Friday, Daniel Demaras had the opportunity to get in some practice laps with SKLD Motorsports No. 9 Acura Integra. Rather than suffering through hours on the highway in the stiffly-sprung Miata, Chris and Daniel drove up in something unique.

It’s just something you don’t see every day. A 1992 Subaru SVX, on air suspension, at an oval track. The car floats like a Cadillac on the highway, but needed to fully air-up to get through the gravel roads at Sunset Speedway.

Understandably, the SLKD Motorsports crew thought the Subaru was a vintage Integra (those folks love Integras) and considered ‘borrowing’ the car’s ECU.

True, the SVX did not make it out on track, not even to give Chris a bit of practice for the King of the Hill event on Saturday. The Subaru sat sentry in the paddock as the race cars turned their laps.

  1. LOL!!! I am not a big fan of the GT-R, as a famous Brazilian poet said once: “Beauty is essential”.
On the other hand, I wouldn’t think twice buying a vintage, 1970s 240Z.
