This past Friday, Daniel Demaras had the opportunity to get in some practice laps with SKLD Motorsports No. 9 Acura Integra. Rather than suffering through hours on the highway in the stiffly-sprung Miata, Chris and Daniel drove up in something unique.

It’s just something you don’t see every day. A 1992 Subaru SVX, on air suspension, at an oval track. The car floats like a Cadillac on the highway, but needed to fully air-up to get through the gravel roads at Sunset Speedway.

Understandably, the SLKD Motorsports crew thought the Subaru was a vintage Integra (those folks love Integras) and considered ‘borrowing’ the car’s ECU.

True, the SVX did not make it out on track, not even to give Chris a bit of practice for the King of the Hill event on Saturday. The Subaru sat sentry in the paddock as the race cars turned their laps.

Gosh!!! Your Subaru looks awesome!!!
Not a lot Japanese cars look that sexy.
I thought you were a Nissan guy? What about the GT-R!
LOL!!! I am not a big fan of the GT-R, as a famous Brazilian poet said once: “Beauty is essential”.
On the other hand, I wouldn’t think twice buying a vintage, 1970s 240Z.
