Today, Sunday February 26th 2024, is the final day to head down to the Auto Show to see all the new models that matter. Some of the gearheads at Demaras Racing have already been to the show twice this year, so take our word for it. The show should not be missed!
Porsche has a special room on the 700 Level of the MTCC South Building where they’re displaying interesting models like a Rothmans livery Porsche 911 Dakar edition. For big kids, there’s even a life-size Lego 911 in hi-viz green, but no flat-six engine in this one; display only.

When the Demaras family visited the show this week, Daniel looked at another boxer-engine car; the Subaru BRZ. Not sure he liked it considering the back seat is simply not suitable for a human to be in, and the engine is a 2.4 L with no turbocharger. Even his Bugeye WRX is more powerful (and it’s all-wheel-drive).

If there’s one thing we learned this year, it’s that every race car driver wants to drive the red cars. So Alice and Daniel tried on the diminutive Fiat 500 for size. The car comes equipped with a 1.4 L turbocharged four-banger and a manual gearbox, but there’s soon to be an all-electric model too,

There were a few other red cars in the basement of the North Building, down on the 100 level A display called Ferrari Classiche had all the best models from the brand’s history, including the Ferrari Enzo.

Plenty of classic Ferraris on display including a 288 GTO and 328 GTS. There’s even a new Ferrari 812 GTS which is just a beast; a front-engine, rear-drive, V12 coupe with 780 hp. Good luck keeping it pointed straight.

While it isn’t a Ferrari, Chris also found a sporty red convertible that was a little small, but well within his price range.

The show wraps up today at 6:00 pm, so hustle downtown to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre now.
Thought I might get another glimpse of that huayra but there were some beautiful cars here. Be careful out there in your new coupe. Now I’ll be looking to see what kind of car shows come to my little burg. This looks like fun!
