Since winning a ‘Thrill Ride in a Formula Car’ at the CSCS season finale in September, Alan JR couldn’t wait to hop in. Alan JR usually competes on the show-car circuit in his 1989 Honda Prelude Si 4WS which is how he got that nickname LUDEBOYjr. But on this sunny Sunday, instead of people checking out Allen JR’s sick ride, all eyes would be on his driving.

This time, he’d be driving the No. 12 Can-Jam Motorsports Formula 1200 car. Alan took a very methodical approach to his sessions. He watched the other drivers carefully to see where they struggled, and put extra effort into those corners.
He also ramped it up throughout the day. Not trying to set the new track record on his out-lap have LudeboyJR a chance to adapt to a new discipline.
Allen Jr brought his wife with him to Toronto Motorsports Park, and the couple are just a perfect match. Both heavily into the car scene, they discussed the cost of a gallon of House of Color paint to match the new baby stroller to their show car.
Watching Allen Jr carefully move a caterpillar off the pitlane wall so it wouldn’t get smooshed showed he’s a guy with a big heart. He’ll make a cool dad!

As luck had it, Allen Jr was in the car for the last session of the day. And he took it very seriously. No messing around, no over-aggressive turns to throw the car into a spin (so easy with a mid-engine car like a F1200) just smooth inputs to get as much speed as possible out of the race car.
Other than a F&F Tokyo Drift moment at the 9:55 mark (check out the video, below) it was the smoothest run of the day. Bravo, LudeboyJR!
What started as a charity fundraiser for SickKids Hospital turned into a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for three legit gearheads.
