Every February, the Canadian International Auto Show gives regular folks a glimpse at what Richie Rich and Daddy Warbucks drive. Millions worth of exotic cars are parked just inside the front entrance of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre .
A full carbon-fibre Pagani, a retro Lamborghini Diablo and late model Countach sit shoulder to shoulder with a Ferrari F40 and F50. Small but speedy Lotus cars parked next to a $4Mil Bugatti Chiron. A dream for gearheads.

Cadillac wasn’t going to let the Europeans steal the show, though. They brought two of the finest machines GM has ever built. The pale-yellow Cadillac Soleil is a concept car, but it looks production ready. The interior wood trim gives it the feeling of a beach house on wheels.
The Cadillac Celestiq is truly the star of the show. An actual production car, this red beaty is available in any colour, any interior material. The ‘bespoke’ vehicle is custom built for each customer, and at a starting price of $350,000 it is the most expensive car General Motors has ever produced.

Still… those Italians really know how to build wild cars. Where the Cadillac is reserved, the Maserati is outlandish with its scissor-doors and outrageous shape.Supercars from Aston Martin and Lamborghini sparkled under the bright lights, attracting spectators attention. Even attainable sports cars like the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and the Canadian-built Ford Mustang GTD can provide buyers with Bugatti-levels of performance at (relative) bargain prices starting at six figures.

These machines, the special vehicles, they are what dreams are made of. Even a person who does not consider themselves a gearhead cannot deny the beauty of an exotic sports car as a piece of kinetic art.
The Cadillac is very pretty but I cannot imagine spending that much on a CAR. Sorry. That is probably blasphemous talk for demaras racing. Don’t cancel me!
Ha! Once the sticker price gets over a quarter million, people seem to question whether its “worth” it.
.
Well, did I mention that elegant roadster has 4 crystal tumblers jn the rear armrest for liquid refreshment? How elegant!
.
I bet you’re singing a different tune now!
For a moment there, I thought you were going to say a 4 cylinder engine! At that price, I’m glad I was wrong!
Ok, crystal tumblers in the rear armrest sounds good, but can I upgrade to four nalgene bottles please?
I’m actually amenable to the idea that cars can be worth a lot. I’ve seen plenty of cars on your blog that are valuable.
